Fast and pray. I am getting worried about noises about a non-Burke American Pope. Please God, NO.
Americans voted twice for a president with no work experience, no expertise in any political area, and the worst anti-life voting record in history because he was black. Guilt vote.
Is the media pushing for a not so brilliant, non-scholar, too jokey and non-TLM supporter Cardinal just because he is American? Very sad.

Guess who won't be elected...that's right, Cardinal Dolan. I'm not worried.
Whew!
I like Fr. Byers' take on the next Pope over at Holy Souls Hermitage. In a nutshell, he thinks Pope Benedict could not have abdicated had he not had some assurance regarding his immediate successor:
It’s like Abraham raising the knife to kill his son Isaac: he couldn’t do it unless he absolutely believed that the Lord would instantaneously raise his son from the dead so that all the progeny would then indeed come through him, as promised by the Lord.
Pope Benedict could not abdicate in these horrific conditions unless he knew that the next Successor to Saint Peter would be a great saint.
I think Father is right: I also think Pope Benedict may have some insight into who the next Pope will be. In fact, I am on record as having said so back on February 11th.
Meanwhile, we must pray, pray, pray.
Excellent comment. I am being a bit journalistic here, but felt it necessary to respond to SO much hype in twitterdom and media regarding Dolan
Yep, the media are hyping Dolan, and that right there is a prime reason why he should NOT be pope. We need a pope who is in the world, not of it. I want a man who will make the modernists howl. (And we all know who I think that man is.)
